About me

I am Giacomo Barzon, a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Padova Neuroscience Center, University of Padova, Italy.

I obtained my Ph.D. in Neuroscience at the Padova Neuroscience Center, University of Padova, Italy, working under the supervision of Samir Suweis from the Laboratory of Interdisciplinary Physics and Manlio De Domenico from the CoMuNe Lab. We studied how to model the effect of perturbations on brain networks at macro- and meso-scale.

Previously, I obtained a Master’s degree in Physics of Data at the University of Padova. This program provided me with a comprehensive understanding of both Physics and Data Science, and I find it fulfilling to merge analytical and computational methods to tackle research challenges.

My Work at a Glance

I am intrigued by how the complex structure of the brain, both at the meso and macro scales, drives the emergence of complex dynamical and behavioral patterns, how these patterns are altered during diseases, and how we can design interventions to restore normal functionality.

Collaboration network

Here you can find a network of my works and collaborators: the color of each node specifies what it represents: co-authors, preprints or journal articles.
